Weekends are made to indulge in food, especially during extensive Sunday brunching! As much as I adore perfectly poached Eggs Benedict or a nicely prepared Full English Breakfast, it’s nice to mix it up a bit every now and then. Thyme to Indulge is a great place for both, your traditional breakfast classics but also some more experimental creations!

Such as my absolute favourite at Thyme to Indulge on Main Street for example; the Wild Berry Pancake Bombs! Yes, you heard right and yes, they are amazing. Delicate little balls, shaped from a buttermilk pancake dough, stuffed with wild berry compote and topped off with confection sugar and some maple syrup. Do I really need to say more?

The pancake bombs at Thyme to Indulge are absolutely scrumptious and will leave you wanting more, that’s for sure. Not that this has anything to do with the portion size, as it’s a decent size. I liked that the maple syrup was served on the side, so you can add as little or as much as you like, perfect to your taste. I enjoyed every single bite of the bombs, my only tip for improvement, would be to add a bit more filling but apart from that, I would have them every day!

This pancake bomb dish is definitely on the more inventive side and so are the Tuna Melt and Jerk Benedict. But if you are more of a traditionalist don’t worry, Thyme to Indulge dishes up plenty of breakfast classics too. Feast  your eyes and taste buds on Eggs Benedict, with a divine hollandaise sauce or create your own Omelette creation, served with breakfast potatoes. They even have a dish called Old School Breakfast if you feel like a trip down memory lane.

Thyme to Indulge is one of the best brunch restaurants in Mount Pleasant and very conveniently located directly at bustling Main Street. It is not a big place, which is another thing I like about it. With about 10 – 15 little tables, it offers a nice and cozy atmosphere. At the same time, the big windows and bright interior decoration, give this Vancouver restaurant an airy and modern feel.

They only offer breakfast, which is served ALL DAY by the way, and lunch but once a month the restaurant opens it’s doors for a very special food adventure, their signature Market Dinner! This is a true underground dining experience, which will make every foodies heart beat faster. At $65 per person, you can enjoy a 3 course meal plus dessert, which is served farm to table! There is an extra $12 corkage fee for bottles of wine and wine is not served independently, so be aware of that.

Thyme to Indulge is a great spot if you are looking for a good value brunch with a nice atmosphere and a decent selection. Apart from breakfast classics, such as Eggs Benedict but if you feel a bit more adventurous you have to try their Pancake Bombs, they are...well, just the bomb!
