If it is upsetting you that the next Dine Out Vancouver is still 3 months away, I have something to cheer you up. Taste of Yaletown, which is basically a smaller version of Dine Out Vancouver, is just around the corner, running from the 15th till the 29th of October 2015. During that time, plenty of Yaletown restaurants will offer fixed price menus at $25, $35 and $45, which are combinations of different courses or food and drink pairings. This is a great way to explore a new restaurant or even a new dish you have never tried before. I had been to quite a few restaurants during Taste of Yaletown last year and it was a great experience! Make sure to check out the full list of Taste of Yaletown participants and their set menus! Hapa Izakaya for example offers a choice of either a Sashimi Salad, Duck and Beets or Sunchoke Salad for a start, the second course is a choice between Matsutake Ravioloi, Chicken Fried Stake or Halibut Risotto and for the 3rd course you can choose between various rolls, including Yam tempura and seared marinated mackarel presses sushi. And all of this for only $25!! If that is not convincing enough, a portion of the profit from every meal is donated to The Greater Vancouver Foodbank, which has raised more than $100.000 sine the beginning of Taste of Yaletown! Restaurants get booked out quickly during this time, so make sure to make reservation ahead of times! Have you previously been to Taste of Yaletown? Leave a comment and tell us what your favourite restaurant was. Or are you planning on going this year? What restaurant are you most looking forward too?
